Abstracts

Abstract painting is a challenge.

There is no touchstone for ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ except intuition.

Alone in front of a half-finished piece, intuition is not always clear, nor friendly.

I’m always drawn to working in Red, White and Black. In abstract though, I also love the freedom of pushing into different colour realms, playing with shape and flow, line and block, big and small.

My intention is the same as in my other art though. I want to feel each painting is an intimate invitation to pause, reflect, imagine and access a place of deep, healing calm.
