I made a video of how I made my latest piece: ‘Monk Seeks Quiet'

It’s a large ink work on paper (60cm x 84cm - A1)

The music on the video (for copyright reasons) is written by me, but while painting I listened to Alice Sara Ott playing the works of Jóhann Jóhannsson. That’s the mood that was guiding me.

Here’s a selection of papers I’ve just received. They’re handmade, speciality papers of various types from Asia.

Part of my next project is to create a single large image on each different paper, respecting their differences, responding to their organic qualities.

It’ll be a collaboration between me, different inks and different papers. I’m excited…..
