Homemade botanic & mineral inks on handmade paper
'We. of earth and soil' is a homage to the land I live on. All the inks/paints are made by me in my house in remote Donegal. Most are sourced from within 50 metres of my door: mint, gorse, charcoal, moss, peat, dandelion. Only the red ochre pigment comes from further afield - from county Antrim in Northern Ireland.
These are the elements that I live with - bursting with the life force from which we all emerge.
The paper is handmade in India - from recycled cotton waste. Sustainable, traditional, artisanal.
'We, of earth and soil' celebrates direct, physical connection with this awesome, unknowable, and beautiful planet that we share.
