The swirling ink and pastel skies capture the quiet solitude of winter.

This is a contemplative piece, echoing perseverance and inner stillness - part of an ongoing exploration of an imaginary synthesis of inner and outer reality.

This is ink on paper handmade in Bhutan. The paper comes from a sustainable resource in forests in the east of the country, and is harvested and turned into paper at the village level.

This piece is coated with yellow ochre - one of the traditional colours and materials used in Bhutanese art and architecture.

However slow, however hard-won, Monk keeps going. There is no mountain he will not climb, no weather he will not endure. He is driven by curiosity and an unbreakable inner strength. His victories are slow, but they are still victories.
